Q: Why do I need a chocolate fountain at my event?

A: Fondue is making a huge comeback in popularity, and along with it the chocolate fountain is quickly becoming a must have at any event. Dipping fruit into the chocolate makes excellent horderves, offer cakes and crème puffs and your guests will enjoy a delicious dessert. Whether your event is simple or extravagant, a chocolate fountain from Cascading Fountains will be the perfect touch to make your event remembered for years to come.

Q: Can the fountain be used outdoors?

A: No, it is recommended that the fountain be used only indoors. In order for the chocolate to flow properly over the tiers it must maintain a certain temperature, a simple breeze outside could affect the fountain's flow, not to mention the disasters it could cause with chocolate blowing in the wind. Also, the outdoors could bring the presence of insects (hey not just humans love the sweetness of chocolate) the insects might enjoy it but we guarantee that your guests won't.

Q: What do I need to supply?

A: That depends largely on the rental package you select. However with all packages you will need to provide us with: a sturdy table for the fountain (and enough space for your dipping foods too), a standard electrical outlet, a kitchen or similar accommodations for cleanup after your event, and any extra or special decorations you would like on your table (ie: lights, flowers etc).

Q: What if I provide the food?

A: You are welcome to provide your own foods for dipping in the chocolate, if you choose to do so you will need to do the basic preparations of such food but our attendant will gladly maintain it for you through out your event. Please note that foods which easily crumble will cause the chocolate to clump and not flow as smoothly, these foods should be avoided.

Q: Will there be enough chocolate for all my guests to enjoy?

A: Yes! All of our packages include 20 lbs of chocolate, which is generally enough for up to 250 people. Our attendant will bring extra chocolate to your event to add if needed. The cost will be billed to you following your event at the rate of $10 per pound. In almost all cases there will be chocolate left over, and our attendant will ladle it into containers for you. All you need to do is find someone to take it home!
